Hi everyone.
I have installed NWN 2 complete edition 3 days ago.
The game was installed with no issues on my Windows 10 64bit laptop and runs perfectly.
The only problem is it wont save game files.
In the game it says that it has successfully saved a file but the file
is not in the save directory and when I want to load a file there is just an empty directory.
I have checked the forum and seen that it has been a issues but so far
havent find a solution.
I have tried everything so please does anybody knows hot to resolve this

Could it be that you ....Documents folder is being redirected to onedrive?

You can add a switch to the end of your shortcut target field. to make it save where ever you want.
"G:\Games\NWN2 Complete\nwn2main.exe" leave a space & then -home"E:\NewPlace" (see pic.)

I suggest to try running the game as administrator: if you manage to save the game in this way, the problem could be related to permissions over the folder in which save games data are stored (which is %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Neverwinter Nights 2\saves\ by default).

I have tried those thing nothing worked
All folders have full permissions, run game
as administrator, and stil couldnt save game.
Save game folder is empty

Ok. I found one more thing.
Files from save folder which should be in
c:\\user\documents\neverwinter nights 2\saves
are actually in root c:\\ directory, but the game doesnt know that.
If someone knows what is happening a help would be appreciated

Have you tried creating a shortcut with the home parameter as olnorton suggested?

Ok guys, great news.
I seem to solved the issues.
I have made another clean install of the game.
Then tried changing the shortcut file as suggested with "-home c:\\*..." and this didnt resolve my problem,
but what did is the situation with permission of the file in security tab.
So I right clicked on the shortcut file of the game press the properties button
and then press the security tab.
Under group and user names I put full control of permissions on everything
and after that the game actually saved my files. (Just clicked each user then edit and set to full control since
two users in the list didnt have full control).
I have read a lot of this issues not just for this game but also the others that in win 10
some games and software have issues with permissions and full control over files
saving / writing.

I hope that this helps everyone else who will have the same issues.
NWN2 here I come, played this game 10 years ago cant wait to play again.
