Ive had to run it with 1.68 as for some reason when i upgrade to 1.69 it lags unbelievably and is unplayable. any it was working OK for me and got into game, now its seems when the game goes into night. i my screen is almost pitch back and even using a torch does nothing, even during the day i can see around however my character is just a shadow unless i hover mouse over it. (same goes for other characters around)

Almost ready to give up on NWN but when i was playing really getting into it. any suggestions, ive dropped tried dropping all the video settings to lowest but nothing.

- make sure you're running the latest DirectX 9 and GPU drivers.

Similar bug was once posted over on old NWN forums and it was fixed with newer drivers package. Still, if it doesn't work, post your specs - especially OS and graphics card (with drivers number).

Was indeed a driver update, although the water is still funny, its much better.

I was actually advised previously not to update my driver because of ATI (Ive got Radeon X1600) going direct 3D not Open GL. eh working better now.

Glad to hear you got it running ;)

Turn off 'shiny water' in video options. It's a well-known problem with ATI cards.
