Just downloaded and installed Diamond Edition, and every time I try to run it a I get a c++ runtime error that says "abnormal program termination." I'm running Windows 10 64bit. Any help would be appreciated.

First thing: Don't install in c:\ProgramFiles (86)......
Under the Compatibility tab:
Run as Administator & Disable display scaling at high dot per inch See Pic

If that is not enough, you may have to install the old DirectX runtimes. (I had already done this for other games so I don't know if it is needed)

Don't use websetup it doesn't work with Win10
Download to a temporary folder on your desktop and then run DXSETUP.exe Then delete the temporary folder. See Pic
