I can only play the game on 1024 x 768 and any higher resolution will crash my game.

Try switching the resolution after pressing ALT+ENTER (to enter windowed mode)

I am having the same problem.

Is there a way to put it into window mode instead of full screen? ALT+ Tab only switches the window and minizes its.

Found the solution by searching the forum:

Where NWN2 is installed there is the "NWN2.ini"

Modifiy the following:

Change FullScreen=1 to Fullscreen=0
and add the line
AllowWindowedMode=1

Then when the game is loaded, in the Options Menu therewill be an option to turn off full screen. Turn it off and you can raise the resolution.

I was able to then turn Full Screen back on and it kept the resolution.

Good that you found a solution, but the key combination to switch from full screen to windowed, and back again is Alt & Enter.
So no need to edit the .ini.
