I updated my Gog.com Witcher 2 using the patches found on My Account. When I launch the game it looks for disc. It's a minor annoyance since I can click Continue but it's still annoying.

Q: Anyone else having the same issue? I already reinstalled the game cleanly, removed game's registry entries before reinstalling and cleaned up the install folder.

I hope this gets fixed.

I've had this problem since day one. You get the pop up message saying "No disc found", then click try again, or cancel and everything starts up as usual, right?

I don't really know what to do about it, and frankly, its not annoying enough for me to do anything about it.

But good luck. And if you find a solution I'd be glad to test it out. :)

EYEFINITY?
I think I got it. I just removed the disc on my optical drive and the disc search popup no longer happens. Silly but thanks for your inputs!
It is indeed silly, and something that happens to me every once in a while. Usually it's in relation to having used the DVD drive for something else, and if you try to launch the game afterwards, it says it couldn't find the disc. Clicking cancel bypasses it, and the pop-up usually stops appearing after a while. Really odd, but I have not heard anything official from CDPR on this.

Thankfully I've yet to run into that (Win7x64 user), but I rarely play the game after using the optical drive.
