I just played for a one-hour sitting and all I got done was the last leg of an arm wrestling quest. For some reason, the quests that have no map tracking available are precisely the ones that need it. I knew the guy I needed to face, and I'd met him before, but I don't know where he lives, and I don't know where he is at every moment of the day. And, you can't ask characters where someone is. So I had to traverse the entire town of Vergen twice only to find him in a place I already looked (different time of day by that point).

I beat him, and went to face the final guy (I knew where he was). Without getting into why I happened to suck, I lost to him three times in a row (with no negative consequence whatsoever - there was no betting for this particular match), then beat him, and woo hoo I'm the champion of Vergen. Really? I lose 3 out of 4 matches and I'm the champion? I got no fulfillment from this whatsoever. I'd rather the game just said "well, you got beat, and you're not the champion, tough" or at least provided some kind of consequence.
Yeah, it's a bit dumb. You can lose a bunch of times and win just one time after that, and viola, you 'beat' the guy. It's the same thing for poker too.

I wonder why they bothered tracking the number of wins for Geralt and its opponents, apparently that's not being used for anything.
You don't have map tracking for arm-wrestling sidequests?

I do. Maybe someone can help you with that, because it should be there. Are you sure you have that sidequest chosen as your active quest?

Some quests have a dark box to the left of them that lets you double click and put the orange target reticule on it. Some don't. The arm wrestling quest does not have that box.

I think they do, unless you're at a stage where you haven't been told by anyone about who is your next opponent.

The text in the journal definitely indicated who I needed to face next (though, it was two guys - I'd defeated one of them already, though).

The only quests in either of my playthroughs of both sides that didn't provide tracking markers were the main quests (at times), and those that say "Wait for events to unfold."

Literally every other quest had markers, so if you can't double-click on it and get markers, I'd call it a bug.

I 'm almost positive i've been using markers for those quests, but untill i manage to chek in game i can't be 100% sure. It could be a glitch you have there, though.

i was doing the arm wrestling and only the last 2 i really needed to use the tracker, and they both has them
There are markers for arm-wrestling and poker quests in both Roche and Iorveth side of Act 2.
I guess I'm just an idiot. I thought the gray shields indicate they could be tracked (because it's the place the marker goes inside). I guess they just mean they are the main quest line. I could have tracked this and saved myself some time. Thanks.
grey shield means it is a main plot quest. you can double click on any quest to track it, whether main quest or side. some quests don't have map markers tho (ones where you are supposed to explore yourself, usually)
