I'm on my 2nd playthrough, and I did the mission where you have to spy on the meeting between Loredo and Sile, and then speak with Loredo. When I was inside, I noticed that the guards blocked off certain areas and said something like "Only with orders from Loredo".

Well, when I did Troll Trouble, I noticed Dmitri's letter of safe passage, and I was wondering, has anyone tried using the letter to get past the guards inside Loredo's house?
I think that Dmitri has a Letter of Safe Passage because he is a bandit/outlaw but our good commandant Loredo uses him, he bears that letter to show guards or other lawholders that he is his crimes has been 'forgiven' by Loredo .

Never tried it, but I'm 99% sure that the letter is completely irrelevant to Loredo's house and won't allow you to do anything like that.

You can go up there, but only for a certain quest that you get after making certain decisions. If you were allowed to just mosey on up because of an item from an added DLC, it would totally ruin the surprise.
That makes sense - thank you both for your quick responses.
