When escorting the owl, if you perform a finisher on a draug, the game teleports you and the draug OUTSIDE the safety sphere.

In finishers (and even during cutscenes) you can still take damage. So if you've been inflicted with a status ailment and are on low health, you will die through no fault of your own (no chance to throw down Quen).
I just encountered this.

Even in hard that section isn't too difficult so you can avoid using Aard in case you stun an enemy but the random teleports for executions happens a lot and is ugly.

Also, the whole being able to die DURING a cutscene thing is absurd (saved Henselt from his would be attackers and the Game Over screen came up and paused the following cutscene).
I had full life and quen wasn't active at the time. I was playing on hard and lost about 3/4 of my health.

A bug is still a bug.

That bug didn't kill me so iwould let that slide
The bug where the owl stops killing wraith and they thrash me while i m recovering is a real bug

I hate the finishers, I stop using aard and switch to igni instead. finishers really ruins my gaming pace.

If by this you mean the 'finishing cut scenes', then yes I wholeheartedly agree.

They ruin the rhythm of the game, particularly combat, entirely.

I rather have finishers than getting finished off by mobs. I do notice that in rare occasions you can one-hit without having the finisher cutscene.

I don't disagree with finishers, just the way in which they are delivered in TW2.

In TW1 there were 'finishing moves' in TW2 there are 'finishing movies'.

Well said haha. Aside from dying outside the circle, i think TW1 finisher is more dangerous to you since you can't roll away after that and you get surrounded by enemies all the same.
TW1 finishing moves were balanced by the fact that you had group style, so you could take out any enemies which may have clustered. To be honest, the group finishers are as close to an instant win button as the game has.
