I have a retail version of the game I have everything installed, after i put in my CD key it starts and update downloads it verifies and then updates the same update again and again and again and again. And it won't let me play the game at all.

If anyone could help me fix this it would be greatly appreciated I've been working on this all night.

If you haven't updated to 1.1, then use the 0 -> 1.3 patch here.

You don't have to use the CD key anymore, but I'm pretty sure it's still there in 1.1. If you downloaded and installed 1.1, then download patch 1.2 and then the 1.2 -> 1.3 patch here and install them in order.

I have to say I've installed a crapton of games and this one has to have the WORST install process I have ever seen
Every time I try to install any patch it says my game is invalid or incomplete. I try to just go to the Witcher2.exe and start it from there I'm getting an Entry Point Not Found error.

Found the problem got it all working finally after hmm 6 hours...
