Come on, Roche isn't necessarily a bad guy. His awesomeness just goes up to 11 and anger is the only way he can express it.

Played Roche path myself. Felt more real to me... and in my opinion Gerald owe something to Roche for helping him escape the dungeon and for trusting him. Did I mention Ves? :)

As for Letho, well I saved his life once, he spared mine once... afterwards all bets were off and I did not feel setting a trained killed in a service of Nilf free, one that kidnapped my favourite sorceress was the right choice.

I think Roche is an awesome character, I look forward to seeing him more as the saga continues. Also... did I mention Ves?

The main reason I went with Ivorth is cause I imported my save from helping the elves in the first was trying to stay in touch with what happen with that import. Going to use my order import for my roche play through.

Yes he's put an almighty smackdown on a mixture of monster and human foes in the game but he isn't going to carelessly squash a ladybird (ladybug) if he can help it.
