This is a list of currently available and more or less essential mods for The Witcher 2. Many more will come once the official forums are back up and an editor has been released ('likely').

Tooltips mod

Welcome tweaks for the tooltips in menu screens: "Makes tooltips 80% taller, scroll 3x faster, and start scrolling almost immediately." Various alternate versions available.

Makes the lock-on symbol smaller, adds a cursor visible only during combat, removes the requirement to click items in the radial menu, and adds a minimap pointer.

TW2's autosaves do not overwrite each other, so the savegame folder can get very, very big. This utility makes it easy to manage/delete the saves. Includes a variety of functions and options.

Australia Uncensor patch
Restores the bit of sexual content censored from the Australian version of the game.

Adventures

Adventures will be added eventually, assuming CD Projekt releases an editor later on ('likely').

Are there any mods that fix the issue with alchemy? Having to replace the ingredients for every single thing I make is a pain in the ass, it shouldn't reset every time you make something.

Just hope some one makes a mod for the 16:10 ratio bug.

Erm.. If you intend for this to be a list then you really should list the "cheat" mods anyway.
Just because you personally dislike them doesn't mean they shouldn't be there.

I see your point with that "cheating" argument, but if there's supposed to be a list, you are in no position to decide whether or not a certain mod should be included. You might put them in an extra category marked as "potentially dangerous to game balance" or something.

Is there a way to manually delete saves? Haven't looked so not sure but I hear that's what's causing the menu to load sluggishly when I use a 360 pad.

Potion Duration Extension (60m potion durations, except cat potion)

Don't think its cheat mods, as at least potions should last into the boss battles even when you don't skip cutscenes (now that* is a cheat)

Sadly without official forums and the horrible search, and fact that gog forums are not indexed by google it makes mods difficult to find.

Yes, go to your C:\Users\"Username"\Documents\Witcher 2\gamesaves folder and delete whatever files you want to be rid of.

WOAH! I had 2.0GB of save files! Over 400! That's insane!

Yes it is a bug or they wouldn't need to patch it up to work.

Hahah~ not so much.. I have 3.5GB worth of Witcher 2 saves, and another 8.3GB for Witcher 1 alone.
