I decided to let the scientists do an experiment on me in Flotsam, I completed the game and it led to absolutely nothing. Any thoughts?

they give you a mutagen, which is less powerful than other mutagen you may find. I don't expect it is too significant to have any changes in the next Witcher sequence
Yes. I was really excited about the experimentation that they were talking about. I believe it was a missed opportunity on the part of CDPR. They should've really made something interesting with the mutagen those guys give us. By the time you upgrade the mutagen they give, you already have better ones at your disposal (most likely) + it is really not well tied up into the gameplay/ story. :/
Wait until they will dissect Geralt to learn mutation effects in Witcher 3

Nah you are all wrong, the entire Witcher 2 game after the experiment has been a delusion.
It was a hallucinogenic potion and I bet in Witcher 3 you will wake up in Floatsam with a complete memory loss (pun intended) and an unknown red headed sorceress looking after you as you are still wanted king slayer :)

For what it's worth, you can get mutagen slots even in the basic Witcher skill tree, so it's not THAT before its time.
The comments here are correct, though... there could have been much more to this than simply getting a Lesser Mutagen. Something that could play out in Act2 or 3, perhaps.
Yeah I was super excited about this experiment when I did it and was totally expecting something to happen several chapters later as a result of it (which is usually the case with most of the decisions that you make in this game series).

I did not even notice the mutagen they gave me, and was really sad when I learned that that was all there is to it.
And here I was hoping it would net me a huge oren reward if i carried my save over to Thw Witcher 3 later on when/if it comes out.
Oh well.
Since Witcher 3 is not out... yet, I would not comment what will happen and what will not :)

True... But the experiment doesn't trigger any quest and leaves absolutely no trace in the journal. So I doubt it will show up in a later adventure unfortunately.
And i trusted them that i would be rewarded handsomely months down the road....LOL

Heck the one guy even mentioned me keeping track in my journal then decided i was doing enough already.

Yes, you are right :) just that... there could have been something more possible...

Yes, but only if you are passing through Vizima:P So, knowing your route points, there was no chance to meet them, after Idk how many months or years, and get the reward. This is truly someting left to TW3. Anyway, normally I wouldn't give a damn to be a labrat when I gather my money with my health and fitness...
