I know I read about this somewhere on this forum I just cannot find it so forgive me for asking this again :(

When the Kayran sweeps Geralt up on the tenacle, I get the symbol (qte) and click and fill the bar all the way. Nothing happens. Geralt is thrown off and he can just stand there and watch the Kayran freaking out. Geralt runs toward the tentacle again, he's swept up again, I click the bar to the end, and Geralt is thrown off again and nothing happens. I've run everywhere around the Kayran and nothing is setting off the cutscene.

I've reloaded back a ways, I've changed the armor, the potions, the swords and it get the same results. Geralt has on the Raven armor and the Areodight sword right now. Could this be why its not working?

This is my second playthrough so I know what's supposed to happen. It just doesn't.

After you take the ride on the tenticle, you should be able to take the path on the left caused by the fallen bridge and finish him off (quen before you go there helps).

The bridge never falls down. The first time I played pieces of the bridge were flying all around. It doesn't happen like that this time.

I've done it with Raven armor and an Aerondight, so that's definitely not it.

You're sure the bar fills up to the end? Quick question: the first time you played, did you have black bars? It's possible that the extra area that has to be rendered since new aspect ratios became supported tipped your machine over the edge, in which case the clicks aren't being counted and you should try lowering your game resolution to see if that helps.

The bar definitely fills up. That's when Geralt falls off. If I fill the bar up "slowly" Geralt just keeps riding the tentacle until the bar is filled and then he falls off.

And no, I never had black bars the first time.

I'm going to try lowering the resolution since I haven't tried this yet.

Silly question, but do you have Difficult QTE's switched on? These sequences work differently if you have, but I suppose you would have noticed other QTE prompts if you had.

Usually when people are reporting this error, it's been an issue with frame rate, but since you say this is your second playthrough, I don't see why it didn't happen to you the first time.

SUCCESS!!! I lowered the resolution and that seems to have done the trick. I notice after I lowered the res that there were TWO cutscenes of the Kayran breaking down the bridge before I cut off the 4th tentacle. That did NOT happen when the resolution was higher.

Thank you so much as I tried alot of different things not thinking to lower the resolution.
