CDPR is so much on my good side right now that I almost don't want them to make an announcement. The only thing that I'd worry about is going the route that Bioware is going down at the moment and changing what has made them so successful to reach out to a different audience/mass market/casual gamers.

My biggest worry at the moment is that they'll announce Witcher MMO.

I'd throw up on my keyboard right then and there if that happened.

After all their server troubles, an MMO seems like the last thing they would want to pursue.

If they announce an MMO, though, I'm flying to Poland. Incidentally, are pitchforks allowed on planes or do you have to check them?

LOL

An MMO where every one can play, but only as Geralt.
Considering what happened to the game launcher upon release, I've got a feeling that they underestimate public interest again and the live-stream will likely crash&burn. :D

Seriously though, I'm excited about what CDPR will announce. If there is an actual 'new project' (that excludes expansions, DLCs, sequels or console ports), I sure hope that they tell us that they're about to expand their team, so that they're able to work on two projects simultaneously. Otherwise it will be a loooooong wait until we see something new about The Witcher that is bigger than a DLC.
Some kind of roadmap for future Witcher-stuff would be cool, too. How many/What kind of DLCs do they plan? How frequent do they plan to release them? And the biggies: Will there be an expansion? When (because I'm certain we will) will we get modding tools?

Oh, and 227: Mind picking me up in Germany? We could do the rest of the way as a road-trip, taking along as many pitchforks and torches as we want. :P But then again... armed 'road-trips' to Poland don't have that good a reputation. ;)

skylineR390: The way I see it, the big announcement on the June 2nd conference can be either:

1- The release date of the witcher 3

2- The witcher 2 console port will be confirmed

3- GOG.com will start selling AAA games. Much like steam, but with all the conveniences of a DRM free title.

4- Work for the witcher 2 EE is in progress.

5- A combination of all the above.

what do you guys think ?

.
1. They'll announce they are working on the witcher 3.
2. Release date for the port will be confirmed
3. New DLC will be anounced.
4. GoG.com will have new games because one of the big publishers has signed with them.
The gog location area, thgats what I understand in the front page.
They said the console-related news would come out at E3. The announcement said it's going to be the biggest for CD Projekt Red and GOG.com, so it probably won't be Witcher news. As to Thursday's news:

http://www.gog.com/en/news/tune_in_to_watch_cdp_days_2011_spring_conference

This leads me to believe they're going to announce who of Microsoft, Electronic Arts, LucasArts, Take2, and SquareEnix they've signed on to publish titles for on GOG.com. Considering all five logos are here, and they say "we suspect that Dr. M. is going to the headquarters of our next publisher," that's almost a sure bet. Here's hoping that they announce on more than just one new publisher.

And considering it's Dr. M and there's only one "m" anywhere in those five names, I suspect they announce Microsoft as a new publisher. If that's the case, here's hoping for the Microsoft Entertainment Packs, Rise of Nations and Rise of Legends, and anything and everything Battletech they can pull off.
i hope gog announce a partnership with square so we can get final fantasy 7 on the site
Fish rain and the spontaneous combustion of the mayor of Warsaw. ;)

# 1, 2, and 4 are probably true.
why would they announce witcher 3 so soon after the release of witcher 2?

Maybe because the way TW2 ends suggest the game was interrupted, rather than finished.
Its highly probable they have most if not the rest of story completed. Maybe they will announce it as an expansion rather than a new game, which actually makes sense.

Whatever the case, the fact there will be a sequel is undeniable.
