In the printed manual on page 24 (pdf: page 22) it says "Sign power +1" as description for the "Magic intensification" ability. Is "Sign power" the same as "Sign damage"?

Think it's sign intensity.It makes quen last longer and take more damage,for example.I guess it increases other "non-damage stats" of the signs.
