GOG I was looking at the video that was "leak" a few years ago and was wondering if you could give us that alpha build as a goodie...you know to see how the game was at the beginning :)

Nice idea...but let's try to find out how many times in the history of gaming did that happen? Never, I guess.

Okay, not entirely true, since some games release versions could easily pass as an alpha. But that's not what I meant. ^^

The main problem would be "people". Because you could tell those "people" a hundred times that this alpha would not get support...they would ask for it nevertheless. They will phone CDPR, they will e-mail them and fill the forums with problems, bugs and so on.

No software developer would ever release an alpha build.
ugh, good point :(

If it started as an expansion to Witcher ee, I'd even buy it!
The only exception I can think of is Stalker: SOC. But I would love to see earlier builds of games - I remeber I really wanted to try alpha of Warcraft III - seeing how different it was from the final product.
Early versions of Warcraft 3 would indeed be a exciting, as the game-play changed a lot during development (no base building and heroes more important, if i recall it right).
I doubt though that the Witcher 2 milestones will be that exciting to play. It's a fantasy story and the game-play probably didn't change much. It's like living in an unfinished house.
