I recently reinstalled the game without galaxy and am getting errors updating beyond patch 1.02; game updates properly to 1.02 but subsequent patching results in the following errors:

Make sure updates are in game folder in D Drive.Then manually install from there.

the issue turned out to be that the witcher 3 content in my documents wasnt erased when I uninstalled the game; the old user.cfg was causing the issue I believe; problem solved; thanks for the reply

Hi guys, I've just had the same problem and after extensive search and with a bit of luck I've found out a solution which I want to post for any poor soul who might not know what to do in the future.
To make it work I had to:

1. Convert my disk formatting from FAT32 to NTFS (no idea why it was like that... but it's easy and doesn't impact anything negatively).

2. Then open Properties for the folder where the witcher is installed.

3. Go to the Security tab, then Edit, and there give all the rights to everybody just in case.

4. Patch it with the patcher.

Hopefully it will help someone.
