I have installed Galaxy yesterday and installed witcher 3 today with all patches! Witcher 3 will not start, getting message ``witcher 3 stopped working``. I had Witcher 3 installed before (when it first came out) without Galaxy and it worked fine. I have tried shutting down Galaxy and restarting, shutting down my pc and restarting, verifying/repairing the game and nothing works. Has anyone got any ideas? I have Win7 64bit. and the Galaxy version is 1.0.7.2023.

Could you try to start the game without Galaxy please? The exe can be found here: C:\GOG Games\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\bin\x64.

Same sort of thing, been running the game fine until today when I see the version is up to 1.08.4. Now I get installation corrupt, but Galaxy can't fix it, get " Installation Failed: Disk access Problem"

The game runs fine when I just run with the witcher3.exe

All of a sudden I can not play the Witcher as well. I get no message The game just will not start! It woked ok a couple of days ago. Has there been a patch since then. On my GOG page it states 1.08.4. Could this be the fault? Any help please.

PS. All other games work as they should.

Same issue for me. Game was working fine now it will not start from within the Galaxy program or using the .exe. I see crash files being made inside the folder where the .exe sits.

Galaxy has been too much trouble for no rewards, so I have deleted it and will not install it again until I am satisfied that it is worth my effort! I play games for enjoyment not to be frustrated!
I have installed the witcher 3 without Galaxy and I still cannot get it to work! It keeps saying that Witcher 3 has stopped working and a program caused it not to work but it tells me nothing more!!! I have installed the game from the latest files and with latest patch, no dlc...I am using win7, i7 cpu with 8GB RAM and nVidia 650M dedicated video card. This game worked ok before (up to early Aug, when my pc got infected by malware/virus and had to wind my hp notebook back to initial factory settings). All my Steam games work perfectly, including heavy AAA games with 50-60GB installs.
Has anyone got any idea what is causing this problem,i.e.any similar experience? Thanks!

IMPORTANT: I have updated my video driver and the game is working ok now! I have thought that the nVidia Experience app. has updated my driver when it auto updated but it did not. Manually updating my video driver has solved my problem!

Hi guys. I hope someone can help me. What directory does the patches install to, I have installed Witcher 3 and I did change the registry so that patch 1.01 installed. Patching was successful. The game starts up as it should. Last night I downloaded patch 1.08. It unzips and then when the patching should start it tells me instillation not found. So where should I install my game to so that the patch can find my instelation?

I have treid running form desktop, but it always opens Galaxy and wants me to hit Play again!

After the game intro ends and the camera zooms in on Geralt's face, the game goes to a black "loading screen with hints and stays like that!
