***WARNING: May contain spoiler, quest i'm talking about is about 1hour after getting to the Skellig Islands***
Hi Guys,

I'm stuck on this quest, i am to dive into the cavern and search for clues on the shipwreck. How do i do this with the drowners down there. They hit me and im unable to fight back, 3 hits and im dead. Its a level 15 quest and im level 12 so i dont' think it should be a problem.

Many Thanks

You can use the crossbow while being underwater.
Wow, quick response. I'll definately give it a try.
I gave it a try, but my crossbow has a shitty range of attack under water and doesn't seem to harm the drowners at all, I always end up surrounded and killed...
I don't really get it, perhaps is it because I have a level 7 crossbow (I did not find any better and I am level 23), I think I'll end up cheating as there is absolutly no way I can do this (every arrow removes something like 1/20 of the drowner's life...)

For me the crossbow was a one shot one kill

Lol, you're lucky then ! I tried again this morning and there is no way I can do it without cheating, and I hate cheating...

It's probably some kind of nasty bug. You are supposed to kill drowners and sirens in one or two shots while being underwater.
Probably you try to aim too long. Just point roughly in the direction of the drowner, and fast click-hold-release the middle mouse button. The arrow than does an (not always perfect, but nevertheless) auto-aim. If you are surrounded this is most times the only way to survive. Oh - and as long if there are drowners in the neighborhood, never go to the surface (unless it is needed), and take down all the drowners , before re-surfacing and dive to the object you have to reach...

Just take your time, take anything threatening out before doing anything else, and be safe

Well, I tried to do what you said and it worked great ! I aimed at point blank and changed my bolts types for something a bit more powerful and it was very effective !
Geralt even learnt how to handstand in water, what a crazy evening ! (Picture included)
