Found something pretty good within my budget: $0.89 for Lands of Lore 1 & 2.

So I took the plunge.

Really tempted by Dragon's Dogma, but at this point I can hold out a bit longer for a deeper cut. Not a ton of time to play such a big open world game right now anyway.

Well, this is not a beta build and it runs flawlessly so far for me (win7/64).
It also got "very positive" rating on Steam if it would crash so often I doubt it would be rated like this. Keep in mind that there always will be a few users who are not able to run a certain game because .. reasons.
Last but not least: if this game really would crash so much I am pretty sure GOG would refund it.

So just buy it :)

Hope you noticed that - while the game is otherwise performing well for me - I had to confirm the fullscreen or rather windowed bug. If you want to play in fullscreen all is fine. If you play in windowed mode the game reverts to fullscreen every time you die. I already contacted the dev but did not get a reply yet.

How can you talk about a deal or even a pact? You've never signed anything and there was not even any blood or dead animals involved ;) But I hope you'll enjoy the game anyway :)
