Johnathanamz: .........Phil Spencer in like 2019 or whenever gog.com launched the linking of other video games stores to GOG Galaxy acknowledged gog.com.

acute71: Did that bring any Microsoft distributed/release game to GOG? Nope :(
I just said Dust: An Elysian Tale.

Dust: An Elysian Tale is distributed by MicroSoft, not published, but Distributed and MicroSoft let the video game developers of Dust: An Elysian Tale release it for sale on gog.com.

Enebias: Well, maybe this is the chance for Microsoft to join GOG?
Highly unlikely, but you never know.
I just hope they fire and burn the entirety of Zenimax's executives, that would be a guilty pleasure for me. Yeah, Microsoft is a corporation as well and as bad as they can get, but at least some abusive ******ds might finally get the overdue retribution.
My first thought as well. Also, that Microsoft is not GOG friendly. But I didn't like to give money to Bethesda anyway, so...

Lucumo: Uh, you can play Cyberpunk 2077 with Windows 7.
Sure, except any graphics card capable of playing it well has no drivers for Windows 7. Look forward to 1600×900 on mainly low settings. Should be playable or CDP are lying.

EDIT: Seems I was wrong and there are drivers for last generation, at least.

That officially sucks.
I'd love to see Microsoft bring older titles to say GOG. Do they even have any here?

I hope a lot of the Bethesda titles stick around here on GOG.

But, man - this is crazy news. HUGE news.

Basically - Microsoft has a fair amount of the really good-to-great RPG Houses under one big Microsoft Umbrella & Microsoft Roof: InXile, Obsidian, and now Zenimax (with Bethesda Softworks).

Also, getting Arkane under there is huge too. I love Dishonored series, Prey 2017 us awesome, and I always wanted Arx Fatalis 2.

And Id Software and Tango for shooters/action games.

Does this mean a lot of those franchises that their games might go exclusive to both Windows and Xbox Consoles, basically shutting out Sony (PlayStation platforms) and Nintendo (Switch platforms)?

Could this all cause a Fallout New Vegas Remastered to actually happen?

Humble Hearts is an independent developer, not a Microsoft subsidiary and they published the game themselves on GOG. Not Microsoft. I am not expecting games from any Microsoft owned developer on GOG (of course I would love to see the Forza, Halo and Gears series on GOG). TBH I still not fully trust Microsoft on PC gaming (games for windows).

Hopefully I am wrong.
I really hope Microsoft will allow them to continue releasing new games on GOG. We got the Dishonored series and Prey this year.

Time to double check if I have everything I want from Zenimax & Co. on GOG, because all bets are off now that Microsoft is in the picture...

Quick search shows me there are Windows 7 drivers for cards like the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti for instance.

IMHO we'll be lucky if GOG gets to keep selling what's already here.

Lucumo: Quick search
I should have done that search myself then. So I was wrong and surprised.

At least this will put a much-welcomed end to the endless "Skyrim confirmed" and "Skyrim when" spam posts.

I passed Prey on the last sale as I hoped for a better deal on the next big sale (maybe spring sale) and I really regret that now.

Dust is maybe on gog and also connected to Microsoft, but then it‘s also just a small indie title. Especially the Fallout series (3 and New Vegas) was one big pusher for the xBox 360 back then, I guess maybe Microsoft needs some exclusive action RPGs for the upcoming console fight, including remastered versions of the old games. Selling GOG that oldies would not fit in that strategy.

Um when Dust: An Elysian Tale released for sale for Linux there were quite a few Linux PC gamers who said it seems like MicroSoft let them release Dust: An Elysian Tale for sale for Linux.

I read that all the way back in 2013 or in 2014. I still remember it.
