ZFR: Seriously, the draw wasn't for a game you'd enjoy, a hidden gem or whatever. It was as stated in the FAQ for a
random game between $7 and $35. That's what you got. So your decision to "warn others" is in fact a good one: your post is a good warning to read the rules before buying something you don't know.
If you looked about a bit you'd have even seen a thread with a list of games others have gotten so far. So you could see what to expect.
Well if you want to quote me the rules, I'll have you know that the rules in the FAQ literally state they prioritize games you don't *own*, which is not at all the same thing as games you don't happen to have in your GOG account. Scraping your game lists on other platforms with a web crawler is neither impossible nor even improbable, so I assumed there was a step where you filled out a form with your credentials and they actually checked.
I could have of course done more research, but GOG was simply a company I trusted. I thought if they put games on a list for people to buy *blind*, then they must be extremely confident in their selection and have surely taken the relative rarity of games into account.
I was obviously mistaken to trust them. Don't make the same mistake!
