IAmSinistar: I only made it through a half-dozen worlds before I ran out of food, then life support, then fuel.
Sounds like this game needs a Sunless Space-Sea mod. Solution to Above Problem:

EAT the extra crew for food, thereby REDUCING load on life support and making ship lighter, CONSUMING less fuel. Problem solved.

Perhaps there's a Soylent Green module to discover on one of the worlds. :)

I did find a module in my travel that let me change the base for my fuel, and that helped extend the journey. Ultimately I just got whaled on by the enemy too much and didn't manage my crew effectively, so it all led to a cold floating tomb in space, just outside the gravity well of the world I was struggling to reach. Like FTL, I suspect this is a game that requires multiple plays in order to get proficient with each aspect.

I think the first scifi / space game to incorporate such a module will be one of my favorites, of all time.
For some godly unknown reason i had impression game was an InDev one.....guess been reading too much into reviews...

Read the Escapist review. How is the game depth? (are there certain lets play which show off the game better for those of us sitting on the fence?) :). The 8GB minimum requirement is a bit off putting (im on an older 8gb ram, i5 2500, ati 5670 video card machine lol)

anothername: Is there a bugfix planned? :P

Kidding; but seriously no. Sounds insanely interesting that game; totally a explore, tryout and mess up thing. But not without a proper save-game option.

styggron: 100% or at least if we can go to where the save games are, copy them before the game wipes them and then restore. I agree. Multiple save slots / restore is a must. I understand that is not the intention but so long as there is a way around it. :)

Ixamyakxim: Save scummer! ;)

I actually did this once with Don't Starve. I had a major computer wipe and reinstall and the first time I fired Don't Starve back up I promptly died. "Hey" I thought, "why don't I just paste that backup save right back in..."

Boy did I feel dirty after like the fifth time ;)

styggron: :) Indeed. I have to have multiple saves because I fork saves as well. Yes it is a must. No way I will play hours and days and then lose it all no way. :) People can play the way they want, I play the way I want :) well............that is, if it is possible. We will see what the devs says. Hopefully I can "save" the saves else I can't buy this title.
Just for you, here is the workaround:
1. Explore this folder C:\Users\YourProfileName\AppData\Local\Nebraska\Saved\SaveGames
2. Copy the “MySavedGame1” file and place it somewhere for save keeping (like your desktop)
3. Whenever you want to replace your saved game, simply exit the game and paste the file you copied into the folder above

Regarding your second question: Yes, 1366x768 is supported along with the following resolutions: 1280x720, 1280x800, 1366x768, 1440x900, 1680x1050, 1920x1080, 1920x1200, 2048x1152, 2560x1440, 2560x1600, 3840x2160

IcebergInteractive: There's the option to save and quit, but it's game over if you die.

It's not turn based combat but volley based - your shields/weapons have cooldown times that you've to take into account. You can switch between cockpit view and outside view.

disi: Hi, while you are here :)

How do I change the language?

//edit: found it, you need to change your OS format to the language you would like to run the application in. This is not good! Are you going to change that?

OK, 1day resources are used up in 20second and ~4900 storage are enough for ~10 days, this gives you 4min to reach the first planet and gather resources for another 3 days (60 seconds) ingame?

ESC to leave menus would be helpful, I was stuck in the city-planner until we collided with the planet.

I think this needs some heavy fixing :)
We’re looking into support for resolution changes in-game and hope to have this implemented soon
a. The Escape issue is a bug that we’re also looking to address
b. You can see everything we’re currently working on here: https://trello.com/b/47OqxpnV/into-the-stars-public-roadmap

THank you IcebergInteractive,
Yes that is my standard procedure with Rogue games. I am glad your one follows the same process where I can restore the save games manually.

Thank you for confirming that is possible and also for confirming my resolution is supported.

:)
Notice for people who don't have a qwerty keyboard: this game uses a hard coded WASD mapping (cannot reconfigure the key mapping). You're stuck with switching the keyboard layout at the OS level.
I need some help here.
- Quit and Save sometimes locks me forever in the loading screen.
- Skorn attack locks the game without showing my crew and letting me assign them to their battle stations
Is there a fix for these?
My System is not that bad, although a bit old.
- Win 10 Pro 64
- Intel Quad 9550 2.83GHz
- 8 GB RAM
- GeForce GTX 660
Lots of space on the HD

Besides, anyway to have the game running at my native resolution of 1600x900?
