I don't suppose there's a way to get around not being able to get the trolls tongue if you decide not to kill the troll and have already completed Flotsam's poker challenge?

If you read through the above thread you will see that there seems to be a bug involved in the early stage of the quest, preventing some people to acquire the talisman in the supposed way.

So please do not come here and insult me for no reason. Stay out of this thread if you don't have anything constructive to say at all.

I saved Newboy, meet him at the docks coming out of prision, he gave me a dragon book but never any Amulet.

Yeah, you have to choose a very specific dialogue option at the beginning of the prologue to get the amulet. You have to choose the dialogue saying that the amulet could be harmful or cursed, otherwise he won't give it to you (unless you want to send him to his death by saying the amulet will protect him).

Well, if anyone could make a fix for my bug, wich is very, very annoying : I had the talisman fine in the prologue, fought all the prologue with that 10% armor penalty, almost all the Act 1... and now Anezka won't talk to me about it. Melitele's heart is marked as completed in journal (since prologue), and Anezka just has no dialogue option about it. I'm stuck with -10% in armor for the remainder of the game, that's so wrong....
