skeletonbow: Someone can have an idea for something that in their opinion could provide a better experience or some other tangeible benefit, or even express dislike of a particular feature or element of a game without actually experiencing any anger or other emotions though. Personally I have no negetive emotions at all about this game. There are things I like about it, things I love about it, things I'm neutral/indifferent about, and there are some things I dislike to varying degrees. Anger is not something that I've felt about any aspect of the game including bugs I've experienced or things that I think could be improved or have other options made available. Just an expression of ideas really.
First, that was a quite. I used to to illustrate rather... flammable nature of Spectres' character. Whether it's anger, frustration, disappointment, or any other negative emotion, it is up to discussion.
Second, what I want is to have an option. For you those narrations are fine (though I'd prefer "old" Dandelion's voice), for me they aren't. I'd rather enjoy the silence. Funny, isn't, loading after death is not accompanied by narration, I wonder why? Not to annoy person, already frustrated by the fact of death of a character?
I can't say that I'm "envious" for those who do not have negative emotions, I'm rather happy for them. I do enjoy game in those moments where it shines (no worries, no spoilers), I really love all those references to book characters of events, or normal mentions of those from earlier games (not like poor Emily Wong, killed through twitter). But I'm not going to close my eyes on problem areas, just because I don't react doesn't mean I didn't noticed, and I do think those elements should be fixed. Having... how to put it mildly... "questionable" alchemy, skill, and GUI system is one thing, having not exactly responsive controls and goofy collisions, when "Best swordsman of North" stumbles upon various obstacles and his horse goes to full stop on plain road with no barriers, yet rushes headlong into some tree, refusing to jump or turn is another. Having Triss running across the wall, 3 times in row also is not fun. Yes, those are games and things like these are expected. Yet expected doesn't mean accepted and swallowed. Because, all and all, things like that create unhealthy approach, where certain degree of negligence is fine, which is deeply wrong, and they break flow of the game and narration. I'm totally fine when someone ignores them, but I simply can't. Colour me weird with professional deformation. /grin Besides, I really like this series, and I want them to be perfect. Can't blame for that. ;P
skeletonbow: I'd prefer some other option than hearing the same loading narrative over and over also, but if it never changes in a future patch or something it isn't going to bother me that much or ruin my enjoyment of the game either. Even if it is sometimes annoying, 2 seconds after I have control of Geralt I forget it happened until next time it happens. :)
I'm all for options as well. Problem is, there are none. Yet. And the fact that CDPR
could do something in future, not exactly warming my heart, because I'm playing now, not in future (not sure I will be, as consequences of choices made already reflected in the game, and having end-game slides is not exactly what I'm aiming at), and when you have to load game 5 times within 3 minutes just because some script or pathfinding went straight to hell, and you have to hear that Geralt blah-blah Ciri blah-blah, is not exactly funny, informative, or anything but annoying. Of course, as soon as game starts you'll let it go, but when you press "load game" you know what'll gonna happen. Ain't nobody got time for dat!
And now if you excuse me, I had to get Dandelion's butt from some other trouble he got himself into... "Geralt blah-blah Ciri blah-blah". :D
