adaliabooks: Don't think I've seen any of them.. I mainly made the comparison because of the old Sonic / Mario rivalry, I'm well aware it's possible they will make something even worse then the god awful piece of crap that was the Super Mario movie...

You didn't miss anything. Boll went all out with being as offensive and not political correct as he could. Without any humour or failed one in most cases. It's just a bad movie. One of few Boll movies that didn't entertain me much.

But as Sonic has a personality more abrasive than a cheese grater I really can't see a movie being anything more than incredibly annoying...
The Super Mario movie would have been a better movie if it wasn't Super Mario and Postal was one of Soup bolls better movies.

coming into this thread, I was pretty positive toward it, thinking, wouldn't it be funny if the movie turned out good after all the bad games they keep releasing diluting the Sonic games' history and presence.

then I got to "mixed live action and animation". oh lawd. I mean, it can work. right? it worked for dead man's chest, lord of the rings. it can work. sure it can.

We can expect more projects like this in the future, Sega is really interesting in expanding out after their merger with Sammy Holdings.

They are also working with Sony to produce this movies and they have Evan Susser and Van Robichaux working on the script but no word on who will be directing this movie.

and the mortal kombat sequels mortal kombat it self was oddly fine ) but who will play tails ?
Tekken was horrendous as well. Worse than Street Fighter? Maybe. Though Raul Julia really made you feel like Bison was something.
