Anyway. There are some resellers (sadly only for steam games) that already accept bitcoin. And I've bought some games (for example - recently hyped starsector) off developers directly, coz they use bmtmicro as payment processing service and these support bitpay as one of purchase methods. So, usage of crypto to get games is a thing that exists.
But there are two drawbacks, as far as I see:
- Business-oriented crypto-to-money exchange services (such as said bitpay) usually get higher % off transactions than "default" (e.g without involving crypto) purchase methods.
- Im not sure if crypto transactions are legal in Poland. If they arent directly allowed, anything bigger than indie devs wont risk to support these, until situation will change.
There is also problem with volatility of crypto too...
