StriderJP: I cannot install automatic downloaded patch 1.2 in GoG version ...
The error message "Installed game version is invalid or incomplete".
Is patch 1.2 of GoG different?
Use this, should be fine.

http://en.thewitcher.com/patch1-2/

I didn't get a full install through the launcher either.

deeviusnz: I wonder if Geralt's hair can be changed to the original style from TW1 with this new DLC.
To a similar haircut at least, yes. I think, it's a bit different, but without a braid, anyways. They showed it during yesterday's conference.
Awesomesauce.

hlhbk: 16:10 resolutions should have been included with the retail release. It should be a top priority. Funny how when you run the game at 720p resolution the game runs on the entire screen. What resolution do 360 games run at? Oh yeah 720p.

There is no exuse why it isn't available yet. BTW link to where they said late june?

Aaden: No link available, sorry. It was in the mess of comments in the thewitcher.com community-section, confirmed by Michał Kiciński. And I think they mentioned it during the conference yesterday as well.
And 16:10 isn't that big a deal. You had those small black bars with Assassin's Creed as well, if I remember correctly. I really pity those with 4:3/5:4 screens, as they lose a lot of screen space.
Yes they were in the AC pc versions. The ports of those games were lazy. I hold a developer who has made their name developing for the PC to not be lazy and support their customer base.

Yep, that's the sole reason why the DLC exists.

These fast arse patches make me one happy Geralt.
Critical Error: Installed game version is invalid or incomplete.

I'm guessing the link from the official website won't work with the GOG version.
I had to close the installer and manually install the downloaded patch from documents\witcher 2\Downloads, but that's worked fine for me.

Quick 5 minute thoughts: The DLC menu has been taken out of the launcher, as has a bunch of the online stuff? I guess it's until they get forums and whatever up.

Game seems to be running fine for me, and the esc menu does now load a lot lot quicker

EDIT: I have the GOG version, downloaded fine through the patcher

If anyone in the forum has the Steam version, please be aware that you have to use the Steam patcher.

I used

and it works fine for a GoG version.

Why on earth are my settings reset after every patch? :s
That didn't work for me, and the downloader in the Launcher just gave me the same error.

Could it be because I have mods installed?
i hope we don't get a 9gb patch from Steam.
