Well I don't have the gog version (disk version here) and here are my first 5 minutes impression of patch #2

1- the launcher signals that the patch is available and ask you do download it. This is good.
2- it proceed to download the patch, than at the bottom of the launch, it says patch 1.2 ready to be installed. You can't do "NOTHING". Why isn't the patch installing itself?
3- Proceed to en.thewitcher.com website, download the patch manually and install it, patch installed successfully
4- All graphics settings are reset. Damn, have to recustomize my graphics settings. Same thing with controls, reverts back to keyboard while I was playing with controller (xbox 360).
5- load my game (chapter one, at the inn). start a game of dice, game freezes.
6- End task on Witcher 2, restart the game. went to exit the in, Witcher 2 crashes to desktop, no error message.

Mind you, this is the first time ever the game crashes on me (granted I am not far) but during the prologue and the first part of chapter 1, not a single crash (all with version 1.1).

not impressed so far with the patch.
Oh for Pete's sake, is the Launcher supposed to work!? I can't download any DLC because of "connection refused" and some blank error I get. My save is f****ed because I lack every DLC piece.
Do I need to download 1.1 first?
could someone whos successfully patched the game post some pics of the different hairdo's for Geralt?

Waiting on steam to get it's act in gear here.. no patch yet :(

Gozer_: Just installed the patch for the gog version.

I loaded up my last saved game and I was encumbered. I definitely did not save while encumbered. I would never do that.

It's not that big of a deal. It's just odd.

Anyone else experience this?
I guess it's because of all that free DLC stuff that was added to your inventory. :P

Otherwise it might be weight-adjustments or adjustments made to items granting +carry weight.
my geralt's head becomes bald after i use the barber service!
i've tried every hair style but the result is the same :/

does anyone experiencing the same problem?
or is it just me?

It's because the DLC equipment appeared in your inventory.

Varium: Do I need to download 1.1 first?
Depends. If you're on a fresh installation: No.

If you have your game activated and the day-zero-patch installed: Yes.

For further information, see opening post.

No, you can use the manual download from thewitcher.com (exact link in OP).

It's most likely because you used a mod that changed the file def_item_armor.xml from before patch 1.2.
The hairstlyes are added to that file so if your using a pre-patch version they won't appear.
Just delete that file or the mod that changes it and it should work.

deeviusnz: That didn't work for me, and the downloader in the Launcher just gave me the same error.

Could it be because I have mods installed?

Aaden: Possible. I'd even say 'likely'.

Can anyone confirm it?
No mods here, and I don't get an option to update from the launcher, and the patch from the witcher site (68.0MB) gives a "game version invalid or incomplete" error. :(

Do you have v1.1 or the day-zero-patch currently installed?
Patch 1.2 will only work with a fresh installation and v1.1, but not with the day-zero-patch applied during game activation.
If you're using day-zero, refer to the opening post for a link to v1.1.
